Darren Unwin served in Commando Forces specialising in Medical, Survival and Logistical support for Elite Military Teams - he left in 1994 to open a private consultancy in Industry.

His company Remote Site Support; provides on the ground support to remote area contractors, expeditions and scientific teams. He’s a Medical scientist in the field of Survival and Thermal Physiology which varies from ethobotony (Herbal Medicine) to Field Surgery.

As part owner of Aspex Medical Training based in Nottingham he oversees the training of Medical personnel employed within a wide range of industries.

Having a lifelong interest in horses his spare time is devoted to rehabilitating a broad-spectrum of equines from Bloodstock to Rescue horses and promoting Traditional Techniques to aid Natural Animal Health. For more information see Unwin Equine Resource
