Brief Synopsis:     With the help of a financial expert a family undertake a radical review of their finances to drastically reduce their debt burden and save a minimum of £5000.00 a year, enabling them to make a much needed investment or purchase with a view to improving their quality of life.

Program Structure

The Family

Our family or couple would represent a typical domestic set up of either a small family with children or a couple who are living together in Britain today.

Their financial circumstances would be familiar to many people watching the show, ideally this would comprise of some the following though not exhaustive criteria:

• At least one full time income
• An over commitment to their credit
• Home owners or long term tenants
• Between £5000.00 - £25,000.00 of unsecured debt
• Less than three months arrears on mortgage/rent
• Family Car

In addition the above the subjects should also have an additional element to their story which makes the change ever more important to their circumstances, this could be anything from needing to make an improvement to their home for a sick or elderly family member, a need for a holiday to bring relief from a difficult set of life changing circumstances or even o new family car which is needed to provide support to a family member other than just general transport etc.
