Rob is expert in all aspects of the property market, especially the Home Information Packs (Hips) and Property Buying and Selling

Well known in the industry by estate agents and solicitors alike Rob is extremely well connected and at the forefront of the current and proposed changes to the way we buy and sell property.

Rob left school in Bristol at 16 in 1974 with no formal qualifications. He spent a year selling menswear (this proved to be invaluable experience for a future lawyer) before joining a local Law firm as a trainee. He then accumulated 25 years working as a residential property lawyer. Rob has helped over 10,000 people move home successfully. He is well known for his approachable manner, thinking outside the box and his, the “rules are meant to be tested, bent and maybe even broken” attitude to life and property related problems.

Rob is married with four children. Although he lives an idyllic existence in rural Devon he regularly works in London, a fix he says he cannot do without.

In 2004 Rob set up Hipag (www.hipag.co.uk), a Home Information Pack production business. After his “Dragons Den” moment in 2005 with legal stationers and office suppliers OyezStraker (www.oyezstraker.co.uk) he joined forces with them so that he could expand his Hip production company on a nationwide basis.

Rob is well known for being frustrated at the way the buying and selling process currently works. It is slow, stressful, costly and uncertain. He recognizes and admits that Hips in their current format will do little or nothing to improve matters. He was the first Hip supplier to develop an exchange ready Hip concept that others are now copying.

Rob has appeared on television and regularly writes articles for legal and estate agency publications. He is a well-respected public speaker and an acknowledged authority on the conveyancing process and Hip legislation.
