HMS Trincomalee 1817 is a popular venue for filming and has already been featured in a number of television dramas, documentaries and even a promotional commercial for BSkyB Sports, which saw an international cast of cricketing stars take over the ship! The re-enactment group HMS, which is linked to the Ship, can also provide costumed extras who are experienced in this specialised area of work. The staff at HME may in some circumstances be suitable for extras work too. Please contact the Trust in the first instance.

As a guide, commercial filming is charged at a base rate of £1000.00 per day or £100.00 per hour for non-exclusive use. This rate may be negotiable depending upon the requirements of the film company.

HMS Trincomalee can put filmmakers in contact with re-enactment and living history groups, who can supply authentically equipped and uniformed extras.

HMS Trincomalee's position within Hartlepool Historic Quay gives here a ready-made and detailed port background of the Napoleonic / Victorian period, which can also be easily dressed to meet any specific requirements (by arrangement with Hartlepool Borough Council).

Previouly used for filming of a trailer for Sky Sport and Channel 4 filming.
