1953 Lanchester 14hp Saloon
Reg no: NDT773. Colour green. Original leather seats also in green. Brakes are hydraulic front and mechanical rear
with usual Lanchester preselector gearbox. Vehicle is not in concourse condition but is good all round and having only one previous owner from new. It is taxed tested and insured ready for hire.
LANCHESTER cars were first manufactured in 1904 by three brothers. In 1933 the company was taken over financially by B.S.A who also owned Daimler Cars, but Lanchester continued to make cars under their own name up to 1955.
After world war two only 2 models were made the 10 and 14 hp until 1954 when only a few `one offs` were produced.
This car being a 1953 is one of the last few to be made and the Daimler Conquest was developed from this model.
