Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Do I need to have TV experience to join your agency? No, you don't need any TV experience to list your profile - everybody needs to start somewhere and TV is constantly searching for new ideas and new faces. What you do need however is personality, passion and drive - plus a willing to work hard...its not all champagne and parties...it can take hard work and long hours to be successful in TV...but the rewards are certainly there. See also How to become a TV Presenter! by David Harper. What is the monthly admin fee for? If you're an unknown face on TV, but we think you've got potential, then we charge a nominal monthly admin fee of £20 for your profile to be viewed on the website and for you to be included in our weekly marketing to TV producers and broadcasters. Remember that in the early stages, you'll probably be expected to offer your expertise or services for free to gain on-screen experience. We'll still arrange this work for you even though we don't earn anything from it, in the hope we get you discovered. Once you are earning from TV, we then charge our standard 15% commission, and represent you as your agent. What do I get personally out of joining your agency? You get the benefit of our TV and media contacts, our expertise in creating interest in people, tens of thousands of pounds worth of marketing and advertising - and by being part of a large group of similar like minded people, all either currently working in TV, or looking to make a career in TV, you're putting yourself in the right place at the right time, to be discovered by TV, radio or the media in general. I'm a confident expert in my own field, but I don't like the idea of actually presenting on TV - does this count me out? No. We look for stand alone Presenters, with or without expertise and experts to contribute to TV programmes or to feature in their own TV programmes. Do we need to meet up for a coffee or lunch to discuss my possibilities before you take me on? No. We could spend every hour of every day doing coffee's and lunches...talking the talk and not getting very far. If you think you've got something to offer TV, then its the people who want to employ you in TV that you need to meet for coffee...we can introduce you. If I join the agency, am I guaranteed to get a job on TV? No, if it was as simple as that we'd be billionaires...but by being part of this agency, you have a better chance of getting the break or improving your career - if you just sit around thinking about it, you have no chance! How do you promote me? We promote all of our Presenters, Experts and Entertainer's to our contacts within TV & Film on a daily basis. We drive Producers, Directors and TV Researchers to this website, again through contacts, but also through trade magazine adverts, online advertising and while on-location filming. TV Executives use this website like a TV Supermarket when looking for TV talent. Is meeting a TV producer like going for a job interview? No, in the TV industry, meetings like this are very relaxed and informal - everybody is very normal and friendly - you'll be made to feel at ease. There is nothing to worry about - you've got to remember, they want to see you because they like you, so you just need to be yourself, be positive and go for it. How do I join? We've made it very simple - follow the instructions on the site. If you need help send an email or call 01388 710415. |
